NeuroMed Electroanalgesia

NeuroMed Electroanalgesia Back and neck pain relief houma

NeuroMed Electroanalgesia, Houma

Electroanalgesia (EA) is the treatment system by NeuroMed that delivers precise dosages of electrical energy to provide pain relief to a patient’s problem area.

This electrical energy helps stimulate the nerves that send pain messages to the brain (perpheral nerves) to block pain.

The treatment is non invasive, non surgical and of course non medicinal. It also works very well to help provide relief to the patient.

You may have used something known as a TENs unit (Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation), either through physical therapy or perhaps you bought one from your local pharmacy to use at home to provide relief.

These devices reduce pain through several pads that apply a low voltage to the afflicted area and they help break up the pain signals to the brain and provide some relief.

Friday 8:30am to 12:00pm

Electroanalgesia is quite similar in concept to the TENS units except they are able to deliver their actions deeper into the patient’s tissue to block those pain signals. Moreover, due to the higher frequencies in which the electrical pulses are delivered, it can not only reduce the ability of the affected nerves to transmit the pain signals, but also promote healing.

The result is even more relief and with the correct dosage and electrodes, Electroanalgesia can effectively reduce pain and help patients get back to the life they previously enjoyed.

This technology has been delivered to many hospitals, universities and other medical centers to treat patients. Some of these centers include:

  • Columbia University, New York, NY
  • The Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, OH
  • Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda, CA
  • Charles R. Drew Univ. of Medicine &Science, LA, CA

It is also being successfully used by well over 3500 physicians in the United States, and now Back and Neck Pain Relief is one of them.

We are proud to offer the only NeuroMed Electroanaglesia machine in our area, and we are highly skilled in administering this treatment.
